New Orleans police have booked Marshall Coulter, the teenager who was shot by a Marigny homeowner while on his property in 2013, with a 2012 aggravated burglary.
The incident happened June 11, 2012 in the 900 block of Frenchmen Street.
According to NOPD spokesman Officer Garry Flot, the victim returned home to find Coulter inside. Flot said "a struggle ensued," and Coulter allegedly grabbed the victim's gun and fled on foot.
Police didn't say what evidence prompted police to bring charges against Coulter in the crime.
Last year, 33-year-old Merritt Landry was charged with second-degree attempted murder of Coulter. Landry fired the shots while Coulter was on his property late at night.
This is the second charge in the last week to come against Coulter. Last week, Coulter was arrested on simple burglary charges.
