Martin Shkreli Ordered To Give Up His One-Of-A-Kind Wu-Tang Album

A judge ordered infamous Pharma Bro Martin Shrekli to fork over $7.4 million in assets as part of his criminal sentence, including the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin that he purchased for $2 million in 2015. Judge Kiyo Matsumoto said that Shkreli, who was considered the "most hated man in America" after he increased the price of a life-saving drug Daraprim, needs to also forfeit a painting by Pablo Picasso, the Lil Wayne album Tha Carter V, his stake in the drug company Vyera Pharmaceuticals, and $5 million in cash in an E-Trade brokerage account.

The 34-year-old Shrekli was found guilty of fraud after duping investors in two hedge funds he ran and manipulating stock shares in another drug company he founded.

He bought the sole copy of the Wu-Tang album back in 2015 but it might not be worth the amount he paid for it. It's only valued at what collectors are willing to buy it for. Shrekli also tried to hock Once Upon a Time in Shaolin on eBay for half the price. Bloomberg investigated if the album was even real as many members of Wu-Tang don't consider it to be an official release.

Even though he was in the crosshairs of the feds, Shrekli flaunted his wealth online and lived up to his villain persona in the public eye. He was even interviewed on The Breakfast Club after Charlamagne Tha God awarded him 'Donkey Of The Day'.

Whether or not the world will be able to listen to the full album is uncertain. Shkreli has been locked up since August and faces a sentence of 27 years or more.
