No More Drama: Mary J. Blige Has Finally Settled Her Lengthy Divorce Case

There will be no more drama for Mary J. Blige's tumultuous divorce case with her estranged husband, Martin Isaacs, as per a new report from TMZ.

Just a day after her appearance at the 90th annual Academy Awards, TMZ reported that the hip-hop icon has reached a settlement in the lengthy case that was scheduled to go to court for a week-long trial on Monday morning (March 5) in Los Angeles. Apparently, the case was called off at the last minute because the two sides struck a deal on Friday. No word on the details of the former couple's deal.

As we reported, Blige filed for divorce in July 2016 and has gone at it with her estranged husband, with Isaac reportedly demanding almost $130,000 per month in spousal support. Meanwhile, the chart-topper argued that she was working hard to earn her own income, revealing that she paid more to be in her Oscar-nominated Mudbound than she actually received for compensation.

Even though Blige lost her Best Actress in a Supporting Role nomination during the ceremony, she remained the top honor at Beyoncé and JAY-Z's Oscar after-party, which also included appearances from Tracee Ellis Ross, Drake, Tiffany Haddish, Leonardo DiCaprio and more. "I feel blessed," she told Entertainment Tonight of the gathering. "I feel really blessed to have people that care about me that much. I care about them that much and it just feels really good."
