Taylor Swift just released a brand new βLoverβ remix featuring Shawn Mendes!
Swift teased the musiciansβ βCollaborashawnβ on Instagram early Wednesday morning (November 13), and eventually dropped the record hours later. In this new interpretation of the songstressβ ballad, the Canadian crooner takes the lead with a romantic opening verse.
βWe can light a bunch of candles and dance around the kitchen, baby/Pictures of when we were young hang on the wall/Weβll sit on the stoop/Iβll sing love songs to you when weβre eighty,β Mendes croons, before he and Swift harmonize, "See I finally got you/Now honey I wonβt let you fall.β
βLoverβ appears on Swiftβs seventh studio album of the same name, which released in August. The record subsequently topped the Billboard 200 chart in September, making Lover her sixth number-one recordΒ of her career.
As yet, the βShake It Offβ superstar hasnβt announced an official tour for her latest LP, but has made several live performance appearances to promote its release. Swiftβs next live presentation is scheduled for the 2019 American Music Awards, whereΒ she will be presented with the Artist of the Decade award.
Additionally, Swift has been billed to perform at theΒ 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour presented by Capital One, kicking off on December 1 in Tampa, Florida, and continues across the US throughout December including Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Atlanta, and Miami.
