Internet trolls have had a lot to say about Dwyane Wadeβs family photo, but he has finally given them a response. Earlier this week on Thanksgiving, Gabrielle Union posted a photo of her family together on the stairway. While Wade held their 1-year-old daughter, Kaavia, Union and Zion (Wadeβs second oldest child) posed alongside. Viewers took issue with Zions image as a crop top and artistic nails were in plain sight.
βGrateful β€β€β€ Happy Thanksgiving good people. To all the friends and family that have my back and all the friends and family I've never met who show love and support when everyone is looking and when no one is looking...All praise, gratitude and thankfulness,β Gabrielle captioned the photo.
The image was enough to bring trolls out to once again criticize Wadeβs parenting.
"Iβve seen some post-thanksgiving hate on social about my family photo. Stupidity is apart of this world we live in -- so i get it. But hereβs the thing -- Iβve been chosen to lead my family not yβall. So we will continue to be us and support each other with pride, love & a smile! βπΎ," Wade tweeted on Saturday.Β
During an interview with Variety, Wade said that whatever Zion wishes to do - it is not Wadeβs story to tell.
βI don't really talk about it much because itβs Zionβs story to tell," he toldΒ Variety.Β "I think as a family, we should support each other. That's our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do."
