Just when you thought 2020 couldn't be saved, People magazine named Michael B. Jordan its "Sexiest Man Alive."
On Tuesday night (November 17), the 33-year-old actor announced the news and debuted the magazine cover on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
After appearing on the late night talk show in a hazmat suit and having the audience guess who was behind the mask, Michael unveiled himself once an audience member guessed his identity correctly. "Michael B Jordan!" Jimmy confirmed. "He’s sexy, he’s alive!"
Michael also shared the news on Instagram, captioning a photo of his People cover: "My grandma lookin down talkin bout “that’s my baby” 😂Thanks @People for naming me 2020’s #SexiestManAlive! Order a copy !"
In his People cover story, Michael opened up about being crowned the Sexiest Man Alive, a title he admitted he never thought was in reach. "You know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get.' But it’s a good club to be a part of," he said. "It's a cool feeling."
Elsewhere in the interview, the Black Panther actor, who is gearing up to star in Tom Clancy's Without Remorse, additionally revealed where his confidence comes from, saying, it came after "fully realizing that you can’t make everybody happy." He added, "You could have all the good intentions in the world, and you’ll still get controversy or some of type of negativity thrown your way. Sometimes you’ve just got to trust the universe, you know? You’ve got to just believe in yourself and do what you feel is really right. I think that adds up and builds confidence."
