Tyra Banks has revealed that she lost her home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

On Monday (January 20), Banks appeared on the Australian breakfast show "Sunrise," where she discussed how the devastating fires have impacted her family and friends in Southern California.

"Some are doing okay, some are not doing so great," Banks said before revealing her home was destroyed in the fires.

“I’m one of them,” she said. "I lost my house."

“I haven’t really talked about it but, yeah, I have," the model continued. “I just didn’t want to pull a lot of attention to me, I feel that there's a lot of people that need that attention, so I haven't really talked about it, but I can't sit here and not tell the truth, so yeah we lost our house."

Banks explained that she and her boyfriend, Louis Bélanger-Martin, were at a friend’s house in Australia when they found out the tragic news.

“We were celebrating and just having fun. I kept checking my phone, not for my house, but just for friends and family,” Banks said. “I was just making sure they were evacuating and everything.”

"Then, I asked my partner, ‘I’m seeing something here. What do you think?’ And he said [she nods]," she added.

Banks said she and her boyfriend kept the news private as they worked through their emotions over the loss.

"I didn’t say anything to my friends. I just stayed in that moment. Then we went home and we cried. We had our moment," the former America's Next Top Model host said.

Banks noted that she was grateful she didn't lose many of their belongings in the fire due to them being kept in Australia and New York.

“So, I didn’t lose those thank goodness,” Banks said.

The supermodel joins countless celebrities who have lost their homes due to the Los Angeles wildfires, including Jhene Aiko, Keyshia Cole, Tina Knowles, Madlib, and more.
