The fatal shooting that took place in Chicago's Millennium Park last week should have never happened. The loss of life is painful to many, especially when it is senseless.
As a result of that shooting, Mayor Lightfoot implemented a curfew for unaccompanied minors beginning at 6 p.m. The curfew is Thursday through Sunday until further notice. It's not only going to be a challenge, but also interesting to see how this new curfew will be enforced, but hopefully it will help keep so many young people from gathering in one place and in the midst of potential danger.
