Super Sunday and The Single Men Second Line

NEW ORLEANS- The Mardi Gras Indians and second line culture of New Orleans takes center stage once again as the today is Super Sunday, the annual celebration around the historically significant St. Joseph's Day and the Single Men Social and Pleasure Club holds it's annual second line parade.


The Super Sunday celebration begins at noon

START A.L. Davis Park at the corner of Washington & LaSalle.

CONTINUE to Simon Bolivar Ave.

LEFT on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

LEFT onto Claiborne Ave. 

LEFT onto Washington Ave.

END A.L. Davis Park for festivities with the Hot 8 Brass Band, Young Pinstripe Brass Band, D.J. Jubilee, Big Al Carson, TBC Brass Band, DJ Captain Charles, Dave Lemon, Young Men Olympians, Lady Buckjumpers, and more.

The Single Men second line parade is scheduled for 2pm.

START Daiquiri Lounge (4201 Washington Ave.). Out Washington Ave. to S. Broad. Left on S. Broad to Martin L. King. Right on Martin L. King to S. Galvez Street.

STOP VIP Ladies & Kids SAPC. Tribute to the Late Debbie Weary & Roosevelt Frith (15 minutes). Left on S. Galvez to Earhart Blvd. Right on Earhart to Magnolia St.

STOP Compassionate Ladies Social Club. Right on Magnolia to MLK. Left on MLK to S. Liberty St. Right on S. Liberty to

STOP Single Ladies SAPC (1614 S. Liberty St.). Continue out S. Liberty to Felicity St. Left on Felicity to Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. Right on O.C. Haley to Jackson Ave.

STOP Dumaine Street Gang SAPC. Continue out O.C. Haley to Phillip Street. Right on Phillip thn left on Danneel to Third Street.

STOP Green Zebra Bar (formerly Bean Brothers) and Ladies of Unity SAPC. Continue out Danneel to Washington Ave. Left on Washington to Baronne St.

STOP Verret’s Bar and Sisters of Change SAPC. Continue out Washington to St. Charles Ave. Right on St. Charles to Delachaise St. Right on Delachaise to S. Saratoga St. Left on Saratoga St. to Foucher Street.
