Chance Of Tropical Development in Gulf Falls

A chance of tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico is looking less likely Wednesday afternoon after the National Hurricane Center moved that chance down to 10%.

Forecasters say disorganized clouds and showers stretch across the northern Gulf along the boundary of a cold front that passed through the area.

They add a broad area of low pressure could form along that boundary by tonight, but dry air and upper-level winds look to tamp down on any further development over the coming days.
