Damage is being reported as severe weather pushes through the New Orleans area this afternoon.
Tornado warnings were issued and damage was reported in several communities
Search and rescue efforts are underway in Arabi in St. Bernard Parish, where significant damage is being reported. Damage was also reported in Gretna and Harvey in Jefferson Parish.
The storms were part of a larger system that is bringing severe weather to parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
