YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of families and to help them get a jump on creating a healthier summer.  The Dryades YMCA will host Healthy Kids Day on April 26 from 10am – 1pm at the Dryades YMCA, 2220 O. C. Haley Blvd.

The Y is for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility and Healthy Kids Day is an activity that incorporates those three core values.


Dryades YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is a free community event that aims to help kids maintain healthy habits and academic skills to achieve goals and reach their full potential.  It is a fun-filled day that is free and open to the public featuring:


Health Screenings


Sports clinics

Fitness testing

Healthy meals


Space walk


Water activities


Registration for the James Singleton Charter School, the Dryades YMCA School of Commerce, Early Childhood Education and the Dryades Summer Enrichment Camp will also be available.

Part of the Dryades Y’s efforts to strengthen community through healthy living, YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day is the largest health day for families. For more than 20 years, Healthy Kids Day has celebrated kids’ health and continues to teach healthy habits for kids and families, encourage active play, and inspire a lifetime love of physical activity.

All families are invited and encouraged to attend YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day.
