Usher and his wife Grace Miguel are separating, as per a Tuesday afternoon (March 6) statement from the couple.
On the heels of multiple allegations and lawsuits claiming that the star has given people herpes, the couple announced the split in a statement, which was first posted by Us Weekly. "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple," the former couple said in a joint statement. "We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward."
Additionally, a source close to the outlet revealed that the pair has been separated for a couple of months. Usher was seen just a few days ago at the WME pre-Oscar party and he "was in a good mood and hugging people hello," as per the magazine. He also spent some time with The Weeknd during the affair. Usher and Grace started dating after the pop star split from his first wife, Tameka Foster, in 2009. Flash forward to January 2015, and the singer proposed to Miguel, with the pair eloping and going on a honeymoon in Cuba later that year.
Back in November, Grace reacted to the news of the Usher herpes accusers, telling TMZ that she and her husband were "living their lives." TMZ caught the pair together as of late December, but it seems like things took a turn for the worse in 2018.
